These include the review of the contracts legislation contained in the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, industry concern over CORGI and the future of gas safety regulation, fair payment and the abolition of the practice of retentions, and revisions to the Building Regulations.
There is also an update on the ongoing development of the Association"s independent member inspection and assessment strategy, and the efforts being made to put in place "deemed to satisfy" arrangements that would offer members automatic entry on to "approved" contractor lists compiled by others.
