Presidential team
Bob Shelley has been elected president of the HVCA for 2011/12. He succeeded to the presidency of the Association at its annual general meeting on 21 July 2011.
Bob is a chartered director, a member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and an associate member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
He was a co-founder of CCA Building Services in 1990 and, following a period of self-employment, was recruited by Oxford-based contractor Sharp and Howse in 1994, initially as director designate.
He was promoted to managing director of Sharp and Howse in 1995 and, in 2000, became a director of parent company Symm Group Ltd. In 2011, he joined Argent FM as senior project manager.
Sue Sharp is currently HVCA president elect.
Sue is formerly managing director of ventilation hygiene specialist Overclean Ltd, to which she continues to act as a consultant.
She has been a member of the HVCA Council since 2003 and is also chairman of the Association's Service and Facilities Group and was elected vice president of the Association on 22 July 2010.
Martin Burton is immediate past president.
Martin is head of the commercial contracting arm of Delron Services Ltd, Maidstone, and has special responsibility for the development of renewable tehnologies.
He has been a member of the Council of the HVCA
since 2005.
Chairman of the Commercial and Contractual Committee. He was elected president in July 2010.
Bruce Bisset has been nominated to the office of HVCA vice president for 2011/12.
Bruce has been a member of the Executive Committee of HVCA Scotland for the past seven years, and served as chairman for two years from 2006. He has also served on the Scottish Contracts Committee since 2006.
He joined Galloway (Mechanical Services) Ltd, Dundee in 1975 as a trainee surveyor and is now Galloway Group’s business development director.
